Caregiver-to-Caregiver (C2C) Program

C2C curriculum on a laptop

The C2C (Caregiver-to-Caregiver) curriculum is a structured, trauma-informed educational program designed to support parents and caregivers of children with brain injuries and related developmental needs. Delivered by trained Promotoras, the program combines evidence-based information with peer-led support to help caregivers better understand their child’s condition, navigate complex systems of care, and build practical skills for daily life.

The curriculum consists of a series of interactive sessions that address key topics such as understanding brain injury, managing stress, supporting behavior and development, accessing services, and strengthening family well-being. Each session is designed to be accessible, culturally responsive, and grounded in real-life experiences, creating a supportive space where caregivers can learn, share, and connect.

By the end of the program, caregivers are equipped with increased knowledge, confidence, and tools to advocate for their children, support their development, and care for their own well-being.
